Training Turkana Missionaries to Reach Their Own
In Turkana, Kenya, we’re training local missionaries—faithful men and women from indigenous pastoralist communities—who travel from remote areas to Lodwar for Christian discipleship and ministry preparation.
These missionaries glean valuable wisdom and insight from older, more experienced native pastors—learning not only the Gospel, but how to live it out within the unique cultural, linguistic, and social dynamics of their own communities. This foundation equips them to share Christ in deeply relevant and impactful ways among their indigenous people.
As they step into ministry, we continue to trust God to open doors for direct support, allowing them to serve faithfully without walking away from their calling. Their obedience—rooted in faith, sacrifice, and mentorship—is planting lasting seeds of hope across Turkana and beyond.
