about us
The origins of our ministry
Glory Outreach Ministries is rooted in the calling to bring lasting hope to the Turkana people and beyond through the love of Christ.
At the heart of this mission is Bishop Benson Ekuwom—popularly known as “Desert Boy”—a bold evangelist who has spent over a decade reaching remote villages across the Turkana region. From humble beginnings and discipleship training at ISOM in Thika, Benson returned with a vision to plant over 100 churches, and to lead thousands to Christ.
Today, this legacy continues by equipping leaders, discipling believers, and meeting practical needs through prayer, education, and community-driven outreach.

I have met Bishop Benson and his wife, Faith, in person. I had been talking to them online since 2020 because my pastor, Lowell McNaney, asked me to help them because their ministry was growing quickly. Lowell had known Benson for many years after serving in the Lodwar area on mission teams. We traveled there in May of 2023, to meet their ministry team. They lead an incredible ministry to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and disciple the new believers. I highly recommend this ministry if you are looking for a place to invest your time, talents and income to further God's Kingdom.
