Our Journey
Hope Rising: Supporting Children in Turkana County
Welcome to Glory Outreach Ministries’ outreach arm for Children’s Care in Turkana County, Kenya.
Led by Bishop Benson Ekuwom, this ministry extends right into his own home, where he is currently caring for several orphans. His house has become a place of safety, love, and hope for vulnerable children from various tribes across the region.
"We have currently adopted and care for 87 children, each given the opportunity to grow spiritually, emotionally, and academically in a Christ-centered environment. While it’s a joy to see these lives nurtured in love, the needs are still great—and we're trusting God for more support. We hope to reach and care for many more children in similar situations."

What we Do
Our Holistic Approach
Turkana County is Kenya’s largest but most isolated region, where temperatures soar above 100°F and annual rainfall is less than 8 inches. Despite these harsh conditions, we remain committed to serving this community—especially its children and youth—with compassion and purpose.
At our church, we’re walking alongside over 100 young people, including 17 currently in secondary school and others in college. Many of them come from vulnerable families and are struggling to stay in school due to a lack of support. Some have already dropped out—not because of ability, but because no one could stand in the gap for them.
As a family, we run small businesses and use the profits to help these youth continue their education. It’s not much, but it’s our way of investing in their future. Our passion is especially strong for educating girls, many of whom left school due to early pregnancies. We believe that educating one girl can uplift an entire community. That’s why we help young mothers return to school or join vocational training programs, where we provide sewing machines so they can earn a living and support their families with dignity.
We continue to trust God for more resources to reach others, as the need remains great in the region.

We're trusting God and working to build systems that will operate effectively for generations, and that will be Self-reliant.
